What is Mimio?

Mimio is a portable and low cost device that attaches to any whiteboard (up to 4'x8' in size), connects to your PC/Mac and when used with a projector, allows you control your desktop applications and documents directly from the board. 

Getting started is relatively simple. Clip the Mimio bar onto the whiteboard, install the software, set the configuration and co-ordinate the board. Use the mimio stylus pens as a cordless mouse to control (click, right click, drag and drop) computer applications and documents directly from the whiteboard.

Advantages

In theory, it can be moved between classrooms to convert a standard whiteboard to an interactive board. 

Disadvantages

In use it can be fiddly and with price falls in other solutions, I am now convinced a better option is to invest in either a Wireless keyboard and mouse. a standard graphics tablet or a Wireless Tablet.
